The combined HGHS/HBHS 2025 Talent Quest on Monday 7 April at HGHS was a blast!

In both the heats and finals, our wāhine performed with passion and energy creating a wonderful showcase of the absolutely stunning talent that we have at HGHS.

With dance, poetry, song, opera and incredible musicians, our girls represented HGHS with mana, creativity and a professionalism that blew the audience away. 

HBHS put up a strong fight with exceptionally musically talented performers, but  the three expert judges couldn't go past the incredible vocal talents of Minaka Clarke and Merania Poto singing the Michael Jackson classic “ Who’s Loving You” for First Place, and HGHS’s operatic powerhouse Danesha Vidamo singing Puccini’s aria “Nessun Dorma” for Second Place. Third place getter was HBHS’s exceptional  drumming talent David Mihigo.

Special mention also must go to our wonderful audience who turned out in large numbers to support our HGHS team. Cheers to all the super talented contestants for 2025 - all winners in our eyes!
