HGHS alumni play alongside current students at the national touch Home Grown series

Over the Easter weekend Touch New Zealand held a Home Grown Series where the best men's, women's and mixed players from around the country battled it out in a 3 game series. Hamilton Girls' was well represented in the women's teams having 9 past and present students selected to take part - Hylan Potts (past student and current teacher), Arorangi Tauranga, Lenaiya Karena, Reese Anderson, Mary Ieremia-Allen, Lela Ieremia, current students - Amarnee Shepherd, Veisinia Mahutariki-Fakalelu and Eleina Ieremia. It was an awesome showcase of touch with our players playing exceptionally well. Congratulations to Mary Ieremia- Allen and Eleina Ieremia for taking the MVPs for the tournament. 

We are very proud of these fine young women and they are an inspiration to our students and our school. We look forward to following their journey with Touch.
