Colour Run 2024

Megan Nightingale —

Our kura was bustling with excitement on Wednesday of Week 10 as we held our inaugural colour run event.

The sun shone brightly over Hamilton Girls’ High School on Wednesday, 25th September, as our first-ever School Colour Run kicked off, transforming the field into a lively festival of color and sound. Students gathered at the starting line, clad in crisp white T-shirts, bubbling with excitement. Runners surged forward through the obstacle course, under the rainbow parachute, and down the slippery water slide. Each year level raced through vibrant color stations where teachers showered them in bright powders. Laughter erupted as clouds of pink, blue, yellow, purple, and green were dusted on the runners, creating a kaleidoscope of joy.

Students were also able to enjoy some tasty food from local food trucks—Hoops and Scoops, Spin My Spud, and The Little Cherry Coffee Cart. As the school day ended, everyone wore smiles, each covered in a rainbow of color—a testament to a day filled with school spirit, fun, and unforgettable memories.

We would like to thank BurgerFuel Frankton and Sal’s Pizza Victoria Street for sponsoring our event!
