On Friday 1st March, Level 3 Geography travelled to Auckland City to explore the hustle and bustle of Queen Street and nearby lanes and parks.

Students were investigating the importance of urban design, looking at what makes a city vibrant and appealing. On return to Hamilton, students then collected data in Hamilton CBD to compare the design of the city with Auckland. After a few days of collecting data in the sun and walking many kilometres around Auckland and Hamilton, students walked away being much more informed of what a city landscape can offer.
