In Week 4 of Term One both 2AWE classes travelled to Dickey Flat in the Karangahake Gorge for a two night camp.

Students had spent time in class working on skills such as preparing food menus, putting up tents and cooking on gas stoves. The camp was a chance to put these skills into practice.

We were treated to amazing weather across the three days and the students were fully engaged in activities including; bush walks, swimming in the river, camp fires, spotlight and team-work activities. A huge thankyou to teachers Mohini Singh, Nellie Wallace-Ward and Vanessa Petrowski for helping with the camp and making it a great three days!
