Pippa Mihaka, Alice Bruning and Hunter Creswell all represented HGHS at the NZ Secondary School Swimming Champs held at Water World Hamilton on 28-31st July.

Pippa Mihaka, Alice Bruning and Hunter Creswell all represented HGHS at the NZ Secondary School Swimming Champs held at Water World Hamilton on 28-31st July. 

They all swam competitively and came away with some amazing results! Please see the girls' top 10 placings for age group finals below:

Pippa Mihaka took out 1st place for 15 year old girls in 100m backstroke, claiming a personal best time of 1:02.83! She also came 2nd in the 200m backstroke, 3rd in the 50m backstroke and 8th in the 200m freestyle. 

Alice Bruning competed in the 13 year old girls category and claimed 2nd place in the 50m breaststroke final with a personal best time of 37.47. She also placed 8th in the 100m individual medley and in the 200m breaststroke, and 9th in the 100m breaststroke. 

Hunter Creswell competed in the same age group as Alice, coming 7th in the 50m breaststroke with a personal best of 38.91, and in the 50m backstroke with a personal best of 34.13. She also came 9th in the 50m butterfly.
