2022 will be another great year for the wonderful students of Wilson House!

Tēnā koutou katoa, ko Jamie Smith tōku ingoa. I have the pleasure to be leading Wilson House again for 2022! I am lucky to be working with some amazing student leaders this year with Michelle Quan as House Captain and Abbey Lennox as her Deputy Captain. Both of these ladies bring an amazing set of skills and energy to the role. 

This year, the Wilson team has shown their skills with some speed and agility in athletics and also a hard fought 3rd place in the house relay for swimming sports. I would like to especially congratulate all those who gave it a go and put in the mahi for Wilson! 

Also happening this term was the HGHS Connections Programme. This programme provided an opportunity for the Year 13s and Year 9s to work together to build a big sister- little sister / tuakana-teina relationship which has ultimately helped the Year 9s settle into school life. This consisted of a range of events such as: a school quiz, scavenger hunt, capture the flag, newspaper fashion show and chalk art. It was amazing to see so many hidden talents come to light this term and hilarious to see so many depictions of myself drawn in chalk! I look forward to seeing what we can all create for the remainder of the year.
