Our newly announced Prefects spent the day at Sonninghill Hostel for an Induction Day to better prepare them as they lead our school through the year. 

The day started off with an introduction by our Principal, Mrs Gordon, followed by a speech by each member of the Executive Council (please see attached file below). 

A series of team bonding and ice breaker activities allowed our Prefects to get to know each other a bit better, and to begin building a stronger relationship within Councils. For the rest of the day, there were both teacher and student-led workshops and presentations, which covered personal leadership styles, values systems, goal setting, Tikanga Māori and event management. 

It was amazing watching our Councils begin to share their ideas and plan for upcoming events, and we can't wait to see what they achieve in 2022!
