Our school choir Mana Wāhine took part in the NZ Choral Federation Regional Big Sing competition held in Tauranga Moana on Thursday 19th June.

They delivered a beautiful and moving performance that earned them a Highly Commended Award, a fantastic achievement! 

The choir performed three contrasting pieces: Seal Lullaby (Eric Whitacre), Minoi Minoi (Traditional Samoan), and Siya Hamba (Traditional Zulu), showcasing their versatility, energy, and passion.

This was also the choir’s first time performing under the direction of our new Choral Director, Anna Leese, whose extensive experience and musical leadership helped bring out the very best in our singers.
