Basic MBTI Test and Profiles Explained
The Myers-Briggs personality type test or '16 personalities' test was developed by the mother-daughter team of Katharine Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers.
For each question, the question before the 'or' statement indicates the left-side option, and the statement after the 'or' indicates the right-side option.
Introversion Vs Extroversion
Would you prefer to recharge after a long day by spending a couple of hours winding down by yourself or to spend time with close friends/family in a social setting?
Do you find spending time with new people a draining activity or an exciting chance to make new friends?
Observation vs Intuition
Do you prefer to experience the world firsthand through your five senses or from written experiences and data which can be analyzed?
Thinking vs Feeling
Do you follow your head or your heart?
Judging vs Prospecting
Do you prefer for your day to be free flow and able to easily change plans or for days to be set out and structured?
Do you find yourself stressed when plans change suddenly or feel liberated by the sudden range of possibilities?

The 16 personalities are split into 4 main archetypes. Analysts, Diplomats, Sentinels, and Explorers.
The Analysts are made up of Architect (INTJ), Logician (INTP), Commander (ENTJ), and Debater (ENTP). These types are all Intuitive (N) and Thinking (T) which gives them all a tendency toward rationality and imparity.
Architects (INTJ) are introverted, intuitive, thinking and judging people. These people tend to be detail-oriented, apply creativity, and look at the world through an extremely rational lens. INTJs are often acclaimed as having quick wits and a good eye for analytics.
Logicians (INTP) are introverted, intuitive, thinking, and prospecting people. These people tend to be flexible thinkers and enjoy coming at life from an unconventional angle. INTPs are creative and not afraid to stand out from the crowd with their interesting ideas.
Commanders (ENTJ) are extroverted, intuitive, thinking and judging people. These people tend to be creative and enjoy momentum and accomplishment in their pursuits. ENTJs are known for their roles in leadership which comes along with being charismatic and unafraid to take the first leap.
Debaters (ENTP) are extroverted, intuitive, thinking, and prospecting people. These people tend to be bold and enjoy disagreeing with the status quo. They are most comfortable while discussing topics with an equally involved opponent.
The Diplomats are made up of Advocate(INFJ), Mediator (INFP), Protagonist (ENFJ), and Campaigner (ENFP). These types are all Intuitive (N) and Feeling (F) and are characterized by their idealism, empathy, and diplomatic skills.
Advocates (INFJ) are introverted, intuitive, feeling, and judging people. These people tend to be thoughtful and imaginative. They are known to be one of the most ambitious of personality types and have the dedication to back it up.
Mediators (INFP) are introverted, intuitive, feeling, and prospecting people. These people tend to be open-minded, imaginative, and quiet. Despite being quiet and reserved these people are immensely creative and curious about human nature.
Protagonists (ENFJ) are extroverted, intuitive, feeling, and judging people. These people tend to be warm and love helping others. Always thoughtful and idealistic, they are born leaders with a calling for a strong purpose.
Campaigners (ENFP) are extraverted, intuitive, feeling, prospecting people. These people tend to have very vibrant energies, they are very hopeful and have a way of seeing the best in people. They have a lively upbeat approach to life and are very open to new ideas and people.
The Sentinels are made up of Logistician (ISTJ), Defender (ISFJ), Executive (ESTJ), and Consul (ESFJ). These types are all Observant (S) and Judging (J) which lends them all to a focus on order stability and practicality.
Logisticians (ISTJ), not to be confused with Logicians, are Introverted, Observant, Thinking and Judging people. They tend to be carefully composed and methodical. These people are very reliable and practical, they tend to do what needs to be done to keep the world moving.
Defenders (ISFJ) are Introverted, Observant, Feeling, and Judging people. They are also known for their warmth and efficiency, they pay a lot of attention to detail to things they would need in their everyday life. They are known altruists and enjoy bringing more kindness into the world.
Executives (ESTJ) are Extroverted, Observant, Thinking, and Judging people. These people are solid in their judgment of the world. They help keep others stabilized and in a direction. These people tend to value tradition and communal values as a way to keep people together.
Consuls (ESFJ) are Extroverted, Observant, Feeling, and Judging people. They tend to be attentive and focused with a similar focus on community and traditional values as the Executives. These people love to share their space with others and believe life is best spent together.
The last group of types is the Explorers. This is made up of the Virtuoso (ISTP), Adventurer (ISFP), Entrepreneur (ESTP), and Entertainer (ESFP). These types are all Observant (S) and Prospecting (P). They all tend to be spontaneous and flexible.
Virtuoso (ISTP) is Introverted, Observant, Thinking, and Prospecting. They tend to have an individualistic mindset and variation in their lives. These people like to learn new things and dislike being stuck in the same daily routine all of the time.
Adventurers (ISFP) are Introverted, Observant, Feeling, and Prospecting. They tend to have open minds, and a warm demeanor and like to experience new things in life all of the time. They are artists but not always in the traditional sense of how society deems “art”. They seek curiosity and just like to do their own thing.
Entrepreneurs (ESTP) are Extroverted, Observant, Thinking, and Prospecting. They are very action-oriented and energetic. ESTP’s love uncovering new opportunities. They love to be at the forefront of attention and have always had an impact on their surroundings.
Entertainers (ESFP) are Extraverted, Observant, Feeling, and Prospecting. These people are very social and love sharing rich experiences of life with others. They tend to be spontaneous and also love spending their time as the center of attention.
