Our HGHS LEO Club has been on fire in 2024!

As the youngest members of our local LIONS Club, our LEOs seek opportunities to develop their  Leadership, Experience and Opportunities within our school and wider community. 

This year, our LEOs have volunteered at Balloons Over Waikato, Relay For Life, the NZ Motorhome, Caravan and Leisure Show and Round The Bridges.  They have also sold poppies for the RSA, helped at LION BBQs, catered at a memorial service and recently helped at the LIONS Senior Citizen Xmas Party. At school, they fundraised by holding a book sale and running a successful raffle. Our Club President, Brianna Laird, also helped to organise the LIONS Convention in Hamilton.

Due to their hard work, the girls recently donated to the following charities: $1000 to the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation; $1000 to The Cancer Society LIONS Lodge; $1200 to Make A Wish NZ and $750 to the SPCA. 

We are incredibly proud of all the mahi they do for others. Watch out for what they will get up to in 2025!
