On Wednesday 30 October our annual Senior Prizegiving was held.

It was a fantastic ceremony to celebrate our senior students' academic achievements, service contributions, and leadership in our kura and it was well attended by the school community. Thank you to all in attendance for helping us to celebrate our ākonga.

Special congratulations to the recipients of the top awards for 2024 our Academic Dux, Nisha Moorfield, and Proxime Accessit, Grace Craig.

We also recognised our Dux Ludorum, Zarah Rattray as our top sportswomen in 2024 and Dux Artium, Oliviarose Kaua and Jessica Wild for their excellence demonstrated across the co-curricular arts.

As is tradition, our Executive Council for the upcoming year was named. Congratulations to the HGHS 2025 Executive Council:

A big thank you to our kapa haka group Te Maurea Whiritoi, orchestra Bella Sinfonia, and vocalist Jessica Wild for their moving performances on the night - which were all very special.
