North Island Secondary Schools Water Polo

Mohini Singh —

Our Senior Premier Water Polo team attended NISS in Auckland.

The girls came away with the superb result of 4th place. Being in the Top 4 itself is a big achievement, and it is so rewarding to see such progress. This ranking is a huge improvement in comparison to the previous year.

The girls worked very hard throughout the season to achieve this result. It was impressive to watch the girls tread water for so long. The team is now looking forward to the upcoming Nationals.

Not only was the result incredible, but all the girls had an amazing time too! They conducted themselves very well, had lots of fun and enjoyed their experience. Under the guidance of Captain Gracie Kerr, the girls managed their time wisely throughout the tournament, upholding team spirit and making it a memorable experience for themselves and the management team.

On behalf of HGHS, I extend my sincere appreciation to our team manager Lisa Burt and coach Adam Milne. Their contributions were valuable towards assisting, developing and honing the skills of our young wāhine.

Last but not least, a big thank you to all whānau for their support of the HGHS Water Polo Premier Team. We couldn’t have done it without you.

It has been an absolute pleasure to be part of the HGHS water polo family.
