Basketball New Zealand select three of our best for their respective national teams

Congratulations Anaiya Nelson on being selected as a member of the Under 15 National Basketball Team and congratulations to Anahera Worsfold, on being selected in the greater squad as a reserve. You have both been working hard for a long time and it has paid off with these selections.

The team is heading to Guam in November to play in the U15 FIBA Oceania Championships. This is a great honour and we will be cheering you on. 

Year 13 student Maia Chandler has been chosen in the U18 New Zealand Basketball Team and will travel to the upcoming FIBA Women’s Asia Championship. Maia has been a much-loved stalwart of the girls' basketball program throughout her years at HGHS. We wish her all the best for her tournament in India.
