On Thursday 30th May, our HGHS Squash Team travelled to Cambridge to compete in the Waikato Secondary School Individual Championships.

We had a great result, with HGHS Student Maiya Hotham coming away as the WSS Individual Girls Champion.

Fast forward to Tuesday 4th June, our team competed in the Waikato Secondary Schools Team Competition where they competed against Te Awamutu College, Cambridge High School, Ōtorohanga College and Waikato Diocesan School for Girls. Hamilton Girls' showcased their talent at this event, winning all of their games, which gave them a one-way ticket to the final against tough competitors, Te Awamutu College. It was a hard-fought battle, but Hamilton Girls' came out on top, winning the Waikato Secondary School Teams competition for the 10th year in a row.
