Hamilton Girls' High School was delighted to welcome our incoming Year 9 students for 2025 for our Kaitiaki Day on Friday 1st November.

The Year 8 students had a chance to meet their new deans, Ms Tiai and Ms Horton as well as senior and junior student leaders. Students were divided up into their HGHS Houses led by the House Leaders - Mrs Maxwell, Ms White, Mr Devcich, Mr Missen and Ms Kenny. Working with other students from their House they completed ice-breaker activities, a scavenger hunt, and a tour of the school. It was great to see the students start to become familiar with their new school, along with their excitement participating in the activities and meeting new friends. We look forward to having the students return next year as Year 9 students where they will be welcomed with a pōwhiri on Thursday 30th January!
