Monique competed in the Sprint Triathlon at Mission Bay and placed first overall female and first in the People's Triathlon U19 age group.

On Sunday, 29th May, Monique travelled to Mission Bay, Auckland, for Race 4 of the People's Triathlon. She competed in the Sprint Triathlon, which was a 500m swim, 10km bike and 5km run. It was a very chilly and blustery day, but Monique didn't let the weather stop her! 

There were 146 athletes competing in the sprint triathlon event, and Monique placed 7th overall, 1st female overall (out of 60!) and 1st in the U19 age group. 

We are very proud of Monique and are excited to see what is next for her!
