Support for our Māori students through the tuakana-teina programme inspires whanaungatanga and manaakitanga to support the aspirations of our wahine rangatira of tomorrow.

There was a real buzz in the air at our latest Tuakana-Teina hui. All our tauira were engaged and really enjoyed the activities which were led by our Tuakana. 

Our tuakana, Year 12 and Year 13 students, have really taken the lead and enjoying getting to know their teina. They are able to work alongside them, korero about their day to day lives at school and assist with any patai they have. 

We feel this programme is just the start of many great relationships that will be formed within our kura.
