The quest to find the top performers of HGHS has begun, as we prepare for the much anticipated and beloved Talent Quest!
Talent Quest is an annual competition here at HGHS, open to all students wanting to show our kura what they've got! We are searching for the top 6 talents at our school who will then continue and compete in the joint HBHS and HGHS Talent Quest Final.
Last year, the HGHS Hip Hop crew, Rivalry, won 1st place at the joint Talent Quest final, and we are looking to keep the number one trophy at HGHS this year! This competition provides a place for the whole student body to experience incredible student performances firsthand, as we will be running the heats during lunchtime breaks over weeks 3, 4, and 5 of Term 2.
With all the disruptions COVID-19 has already caused this year, we are determined to see our Talent Quest plans come to life, and are looking forward to some incredible acts! Performances can include anything from singing, dancing or playing an instrument, to comedy skits, or crazy sport skills, like, for example, the perfected art of unicycling. We have seen such a wide range of performances at Talent Quests here at HGHS over the years and we can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us!
