National Rugby League was a big kaupapa over the Easter holidays, and HGHS was well-represented!
Over the Easter weekend Liarna Barber-Salvation didn't have much time to hunt for Easter eggs, instead she was hunting for tries during the National Rugby League 9s Championships. Liarna was representing the Waikato, along with a number of Hamilton Girls' High School students. When the dust had settled, Liarna was named in the New Zealand 9s Tournament Team. This is a great achievement for Liarna, who has spent the last 2 years training hard to get herself ready for the competitive rigours of rugby league.
