Māori All Blacks Inspired by HGHS

Our kapa haka group, Te Maurea Whiritoi, inspired the Māori All Blacks with waiata and haka before their match against Ireland at Waikato Stadium.
It was an honour to play such an integral role in the teams big win against Ireland! Our students were a big part of the 200 strong group of rangatahi that were there to add voice, passion, and wairua Māori to the game's atmosphere. Organisers were very appreciative and attributed our contribution as a very important reason for the success of the game. We can't wait to get involved in the next one!
