Principal Marie Gordon
Marie Gordon — March 24, 2022
Our Principal, Ms Marie Gordon, thanks the school for rising above our current challenges.
Kei aku nui, kei aku rahi, tēnei te mihi maioha ki a koutou katoa.
The last eight weeks have certainly tested us at HGHS as we continue to navigate the Omicron space. Together we have achieved so much just by turning up and being present!
I want to begin by acknowledging each person, staff members and students, who contribute to making our school a better place, especially those who exhibit the best of human qualities in a Covid-19 impacted world.
We respect those who show empathy to others, who work tirelessly to improve, who commit to a team or a group, and who think of others before themselves; those who look at a new challenge with positivity, or simply have the courage to be themselves.
To those of our students who act in this manner, be reassured that you make a significant contribution to the culture, tone and standards of Hamilton Girls’ High School. This is your school - take pride in wearing our school crest, stand tall and strong and be the absolute best version of yourself.
Kia haumaru te noho, kia puāwai ngā wawata hei ngā rā kei mua i te aroaro. Tēnā koutou katoa.
