As a year 11 student, Melelosaline finished on the podium for New Zealand U18 Discus.
Melelosaline Lose competed at the New Zealand Athletics Championships held in Hastings 2022. In her favourite event, discus, she finished 3rd with a personal best throw of 44.58m. This 3rd place is even more remarkable as she competed in the under 18 age division and at the time was still 14 years old. This continues Melelosaline's meteoric rise in the field of athletics on a national stage.
