How do I pay for items at HGHS?

This is a question new parents ask us, and here is an easy introduction to one of our systems for you.

HGHS operates an online Payment Portal that allows parents to choose which items to pay for, and when. 

This is a lot easier than internet banking and has the added benefit of saving administration time which also helps the school.

So how do you make payments on the Parent Portal?

  1. Go to the HGHS website hghs.school.nz
  2. Click on the Parent Portal tab at the top of the  screen
  3. Sign on using your caregiver User Name and Password *
  4. Click on the Financial tab
  5. You then have the option to click the Toggle icon to tick and untick items, or you can enter an amount to pay per item.  It is up to you!
  6. Voluntary and non-voluntary items are clearly marked.  
  7. Click the circle to confirm you have read the "Terms and Conditions" and then click on the red box to  finalise payment.  Follow the screen instructions from there.

* "I don't know what my Username and Password is"...  This is sent to parents in their Year 9 user packs. However, if you no longer have this, please email finance@hghs.school.nz or call the school on (07) 839 1304 and ask for Finance - they can provide your log in details.
