Introducing our new teachers for 2022
Kate Potter and Siobhan Burgess
Tēnā koutou katoa! My name is Kate Potter and I will be joining Highfield School as a teacher in 2022! I have just finished my studies at Otago University and am very excited to begin my teaching journey in your school community. Having been born in Timaru but currently residing in Dunedin, I am looking forward to returning. I love all things music and dance and spend a lot of my free time growing my passion for music and spending time with those around me. I am also passionate about physical and outdoor education. I am looking forward to being a part of your school and get to know you all in 2022!
Hello, I'm Siobhan Burgess and I will be joining the team at Highfield in the 2022 academic year. I am a Mum of two little girls, one 5 year old and one 2 year old and I am originally from the UK, but my husband is from Timaru and we moved here in 2021 from the Middle East. I have been teaching for 11 years and I am excited about starting my New Zealand teaching journey at Highfield. I love all things to do with sports, arts, and being outdoors, especially if it is with my family. My passions in teaching are Literacy and Science, particularly if it involves an experiment! I'm really looking forward to becoming part of the Highfield whanau and can't wait to meet you all!
