Robyn Cooper —

Good evening whānau.
I hope you are all enjoying your week.
Firstly I would like to give a warm welcome to Autumn, and Avahlee who have both joined Room 5. Autumn is a well-known friend who attended Highfield School last year so it is lovely to have you back and settled into our whānau again. Avahlee we welcome you and your whānau to Highfield. We have loved getting to know you this week and look forward to an awesome year together.

It has been lovely getting back and stuck into our learning.
This term is a busy one with a few things such as a choir performance, Matariki evening, a disco, Pink Shirt Day, 2 weeks of swimming, Teacher only day, and our school production so PLEASE keep checking your Hero posts so you don't miss anything. My aim is to be a lot better at communicating these things with you all so please keep checking in.

The Life Education Van was a blast today! The theme of our visits this time is very fitting to our overriding inquiry topic for this term which is all about developing their self esteem and a positive understanding of themselves. Today we learnt that we are all VIP's because we each have our own personality shaped by the way we think, feel, act and the things we like to do.

Here are some photos and videos of this wonderful experience- AND... we get to go back for another visit again.
