Tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou katoa
A warm welcome back to term 2 and fingers crossed it is going to be a much more settled term for us all, compared to term 1. A special welcome to our newly arrived students
and their families. We hope you enjoy your "Highfield" experience.
It has been great getting back to school at the orange setting and seeing all our students happy faces! We still have challenges ahead as we navigate the daily impact of covid in the school community but this new level allows us to return to a more 'normal' looking school day. It certainly has been exciting to see all the children playing together at break times.
Moving into the orange level has meant sports have all been able to start happening, which is great to see. We have school basketball teams playing in the local Yr 7& 8 competition, students playing hockey in either our school teams or combining with a club when we didn't have enough numbers in different age groups and netball players playing in the club competition. Thank you to the whānau who have put their hands up to coach or manage a team. Your support and time is greatly appreciated.
We are excited about the term ahead - it is going to be a busy and fun term of learning and activities. We are looking forward to the ability to have greater engagement with parents again, so make sure you keep up to date with all events by regularly checking our school calendar and Hero posts.
