A few reminders

A few reminders as we get into the school year:

• Arriving at school before the 9am bell gives your child time to put their bag away, greet their teacher and friends, and then settle before we start our day.  Please remember children must wait at the gate until 8.20am (when the bell to come in rings) as before this is the teacher's prep time for the day.  If you would like to talk to the teacher, please wait until 8.20am to see them in person.  You could always email or message on the Hero app

• Please send togs and towel each day no matter the weather as it changes throughout the day - we are so lucky to still have a school pool, lets make the most of it.  Please send a note to let us know if you're child is not swimming for a particular reason, otherwise they will join in with swimming.  This is just as important as maths and literacy.

• Keep toys and special items at home - they can become a distraction, even if kept in the child's bag for the day.  The children get the same message about toys from their teachers regularly.

• All lunchbox rubbish goes home.  Using small containers instead of packets reduces the amount of mess in lunchboxes.  Please send a spoon if your child needs it to eat something in their lunchbox.  Keep sweets/lollies and pieces of chocolate at home - they are not good for our teeth and do not fill us up.  We are also a water only school - this is all we need in our drink bottle.
