They had a wonderful week of learning. They explored Timaru (following on from 'Me and my family') and there was great excitement when children recognised places that were special to them.

It has been great to see children transferring their structured literacy knowledge into other areas of learning. There has been lots of proud Highfield Thinker moments.

The week ended with a community walk even though it was windy and cold - it was fun exploring the special places around our school.
