University of Auckland Economics Competition
On Wednesday, 18 June 2025, six of our students sat the 2025 New Zealand Economics Competition — a 50-minute online test of economic theory and current affairs, hosted by the University of Auckland via Inspera.
The nationally recognised competition, run since 1997, draws top students from schools across Aotearoa and benchmarks their understanding in both micro- and macroeconomics as well as real-world issues .
All participants will receive e‑certificates, with the top 10 percent awarded High Distinction, the next 15 percent earning Distinction, and monetary prizes for standout achievers.
Performance reports head to schools in late August, and a celebratory awards evening will be held in Auckland on Friday, 17 October 2025.
We applaud our six competitors for their hard work and courage — kia kaha as we await official results!
