Arts Fest

Wow! What an awesome time we all had at Arts Fest that was on during week two.

The festivities started with an awesome opening event in the music block courtyard that included face painting, caricatures, balloon animals, games, a sausage sizzle and karaoke where even Mr Whiting graced us with a song.

The rest of the week went off without a hitch with fun events such as Jump Jam - where students enjoyed an interval full of music and dance. Teacher vs Student Theatresports where hilarity ensued and the students won by a narrow margin of 23-22 points.

We also had a special surprise guest when Magician Aaron Nathanial (Finalist in Indonesias Got Talent), treated our tamariki to an incredible magic show that left them throughly entertained and also scratching their heads as to how he pulled off some of his tricks.

Dancing with the Staff was a massive hit - Mr Cox's rendition of Single Ladies was a crowd pleaser and took out first place.

Finally the week finished with the annual Drag Race (co-hosted by our Skittles group), an event with great costumes, awesome lighting and entertainment by participants and our wonderful Arts Captains.

A massive thank you to everyone who helped out with Arts Fest to make all of the events possible with a special shout out to the Arts Council and especially the Arts Captains: Arlo, Ephraim and Josh who went above and beyond to ensure a fun week was had by all.
