Aviva Goodloans are available to families, to help with Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD)

Local charity Aviva offers No Interest Loans of up to $1000, which can be used for a variety of purposes, including essential items and technology – such as Chromebooks for BYOD.  Who can apply to Aviva Goodloans?  Access to a loan may be available to you if you are a Canterbury resident and answer yes to the following questions: 

• Have you lived at your current address for three months or more? 

• Do you want to buy an essential item or service? 

• Do you have enough flexibility in your budget to repay a loan? 

If you answered ‘yes’ to these questions and could do with some extra help, you can contact Aviva on 0800 28482 669 (select option 2), or email goodloans@aviva.org.nz

Please note, NILS does not provide loans for things such as school uniforms, or stationery. However, City Mission may be able to assist with this. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to get in touch. You can either email
