Powering Potential

Geordie Dann —

Each year, a small number of students from across the country are selected to participate in the Powering Potential programme run by the Royal Society and sponsored by Freemasons NZ.

Participants travel to Wellington and spend 4 days working in teams of 5 alongside a scientist.  Each team will be researching an issue submitted by the scientist who is mentoring them.

We are delighted to say that this year, out of the 40 students selected nationwide, 2 are from Hillmorton: our own Ellen Tsai (year 13) and Samantha Dryden (year 12).

This is a huge and well-deserved opportunity for Sam and Ellen and we are very proud of them.
