Showquest 2020

Hillmorton —

Hillmorton wins 1st place in the Canterbury Showquest Competition!

Congratulations to all the students who participated in Showquest this year. The students, led by Aria Kokiri, have been rehearsing their routine throughout term three and had a great time filming on the 22nd August.  The performance is available to watch online, along with other entries from all over Aotearoa, on the Showquest website.  Well done to Izac de Castro whose incredible filming and editing skills helped the team to produce such a professional final video and to Aria Kokiri whose outstanding leadership skills and passion for the project which gave our entry the winning touch.

As well as winning 1st place, Hillmorton also won an award for the best use of lighting and an award called 'Belongs in Hollywood'.  Three Hillmorton students have been nominated for awards for their efforts; Izac de Castro for filming, Molly King for choreography and Aria Kokiri for directing.  Hillmorton will now be competing against the other winning regions for the national title and we wish them the very best of luck.
