Covid 19 Teddy Bears

Emily Napolitano —

Our Year 8 students spent the term making Covid 19 Teddy Bears, adding special features to personalise their bears.

After our nationwide lockdown, and teaching and learning from home, our Year 8 students were happy to get back into the Textiles room and start sewing!  They made teddy bears in honour of the neighbourhood teddy bear hunts that happened worldwide during lockdown. Each teddy bear is unique, with special details added to embellish and personalise the bears. Our students improved their sewing machine skills and learned how to sew by hand to add button eyes and noses, and to stitch up the stuffed bears.
