To support their transition, students participate in an orientation programme on their arrival at Hillmorton High School.

Orientation includes:

· airport meeting and transfer to your homestay family

· an introduction to life at Hillmorton High School, including study, services, activities and rules an introduction to life in New Zealand

· an introduction to the New Zealand Education System

· English language testing to help decide your course selection and English Language support

· academic counselling and personalised course selection

· an overview of the The Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021

Students will be given an International Student Orientation Booklet to support their orientation.
