Showquest 2020

Sonya Gardiner —

On Saturday 22 August, thirty-five committed and talented Hillmorton High School students spent the day filming an amazing dance/drama performance for the 2020 Showquest Competition

Usually the Showquest Competition involves a live performance, however this year the performance will be viewed and judged via an online video entry.  The students have been working tirelessly over the past couple of months rehearsing their routine during lunchtimes and after school.  The project has been entirely student-led with Aria Kokiri (Year 10) and Molly King (Year 13) choreographing and teaching the dance with help from their fellow Showquest Leaders: Mary Hunter (Year 10), Taylah Smith (Year 9), Logan Smith (Year 8) and Libby McMahon (Year 8).  The filming was done by Izac De Castro and Vincent Kherr Castillo and the lighting was organised and run by our fantastic tech crew.  Even some of our costumes were made by some senior Textiles students!  The final video will be available to watch online along with all other Christchurch School entries on Friday 18th September with the judges decision to be announced the following week.  Well done to all students who participated, you have made Hillmorton proud!
