Build-a-bot - Eco Shop Challenge

Liz Williams —

Robotics Club Members - Cameron Bartram, Cameron Price and Alex Gray have built a robot from e-waste for the Eco Shop annual challenge.

Not satisfied with just sticking bits of junk together to make something that looks like a robot, these students created a mechanical vending machine. Inserting discarded brass pellets into the Robots shoulder, triggered a mechanism of pipes in the torso that dispensed items up through the robots neck. These clever engineers had their robot on display at the Eco Shop last weekend. This has been a side project for the boys this year in amongst their other Code and Robotics exploits. We look forward to hearing more about these budding inventors in the years to come.
