First Aid training saves lives!

Hillmorton —

Hillmorton High School Year 12 students learnt to Save a Life, CPR and Essential First Aid on the 25 & 26 June through STAR funding.

Essential First Aid prepares you to respond to the most common emergency situations while Save a Life is focused on CPR skills. These two days were spent learning skills which prepare the Year 12's to be calm when faced with a person requiring first aid. The students enjoyed the group work and it was great to see the theory put into practice, particularly the bandaging of 'injuries'.  Anna, Allan, Louise and Megan from Red Cross were superb instructors and the students were a fabulous group of learners. This year those who want more Comprehensive First Aid training are encouraged to see Mrs Partel in the Careers Centre and book a one day weekend course.  Thanks to STAR funding, all these courses are FREE!
