In the April holidays, the three Year 11's pictured above completed a four day course where they explored Careers in the ECE sector.

They were quick to spot the STAR Course on the Daily Notices and enrol.  When they attended Vision College they found the course interesting and a new experience actually working with children under 5. The best part of the course was discovering how kids learn from everyday things and how to make good resources to keep them occupied. To gain the Unit Standard that was worth 4 credits at Level Three, there was a lot of paperwork. Learning how to work with very young children was challenging but the tutors were very knowledgeable.
