Students in our Writers' Group spent an hour after school learning ways to develop great characters, with award-winning young adult fiction writer Jane Higgins.

Jane shared ways that writers can think more deeply about the characters they are creating, resulting in more sophisticated and satisfying writing. Our writers worked through a sequence of exercises during the workshop, refining and sharing their ideas.

Jane will return next month for another workshop on developing plot.
