We are so proud of our girls!

The girls demonstrated so much Mana and Whanaungatanga over the past 3 days. We were so proud of the girls for never giving up despite the scores, and for showing care towards the other teams.

Team 1 finished in the A grade at 6th place out of 18 teams. Despite losses in the final day, the girls were super proud of themselves. My favourite quote was from Tess Wilson Y8 "Even though we lost all the games today, that was my favourite day by far, as we played the best and have improved so much".

Team 2 finished in the C grade. The girls versed Rangi Ruru, a team who were full of determination after losing all their games. Our girls came up with a cunning plan to let them score in their final game against them, and the cheering that went on from both teams when Rangi scored was amazing and such a heartwarming experience. The girls enjoyed their game so much that they all wanted a photo together.
