Kia ora koutou, Warm Greetings to you all!

Despite Covid we have much to celebrate this term. Our students and staff have remained resilient throughout the term. A few highlights for me:

  • Teaching and Learning has continued with high levels of engagement despite mask wearing! It’s great to see students making progress and achieving well.

  • Some sports were able to continue, and our students have remained very active during break times taking advantage of our recently completed new courts.

  • Music lessons involving singing and wind instruments have been held outside and I’ve enjoyed hearing this as I pass!

  • Our Tapa class have been practising for Polyfest (recorded) outside in our newly landscaped amphitheatre – this has been joyous to watch.

  • ShowQuest students are practising.

  • Dance classes have sometimes been taken outside – again such a joy to watch!

  • Some of our Upland students have been welcomed and settled positively in mainstream classes. They are achieving well.

Thank you to all our students who are exhibiting our school values on the way to and from school as well as within the school. I am looking forward to Term 2 already!

Wishing you all a wonderful Easter and holiday break.

Ngā mihi
