Some of our new Term Three international students recently attended a pōwhiri and mayoral reception at Ngā Hau e Whā National Marae.

Not letting the sleet dampen their spirits, along with close to 200 other high school students from across the region, our students were officially welcomed to Ōtautahi / Christchurch.

In addition to the pōwhiri, the winners of the inaugural Waitaha Canterbury International Students Awards were announced. One of three students recognised, Ngan Dang was awarded the Community Engagement award for her mahi and service in a range of areas at school and in the wider community over the past four years. Congratulations Ngan - a well-deserved acknowledgement.
