A Raucous Celebration of Spelling

Last week was the Spelling Bee. There were separate competitions for Y7/8, Y9/10 and a Senior Division.  Crowds gathered on the Poutama steps in Aonga Ake for three exciting installments of competitive spelling.

Y7/8 winners - Ashlesha Deo (Fire), Aria Gooch (Water) and Zachariah Nicholson (Earth)

Y9/10 winners - Tess Wilson (Air), Philip Brown (Air) and Rani Survase (Water)

Seniors - Luke van Barneveld (Air), John Hunter (Earth) and Reuben Hills (Water)
