Twelve of our students competed in the NW Table Tennis Tournament at Hobsonville Point Primary School on Thursday this week...

The table tennis tournament was great but I didn't have luck on my side, with an injured knee. I persevered trying my hardest to win. Theo 

The table tennis tournament was fun. We did 2 on 2s (doubles) and 1 on 1s (singles). I faced a lot of challenges on the way. I even had to play against my own team member, and I did it all with a sprained finger.  Brody 

I was happy when I heard I was coming to this tournament because I originally wasn’t in the team. I lost all my games but I still had a lot of fun. Haru

Playing table tennis at the Northwest tournament was fun, and we were able to go up against different types of people of different skill levels. By competing in this competition, I was able to see what I had to improve in for table tennis and this will help me know what else I need to practice.  Caleb

The Table Tennis tournament was very nerve racking, but in the end I'm glad I came. We had 1 on 1s (singles) and while we were waiting for the next game, we had fun playing with our team members. Even though I hit Lily in the face, it was worth it.  Jaime

The Table Tennis tournament was really enjoyable, even though I didn't win many games but I'm so glad I came. After our games Gavin, Jaime, Rohini and I played a fun game of Duos, and Jaime hit me in the eye but It didn't hurt. My favourite part of the day was when I hit the ball and it got into the basketball goal (not the table). Lily

I am so glad I came to the Table Tennis Tournament. I had a great time playing against other schools, and after my matches I played a fun game with Lily, Jaime and Gavin. At the end of the day I won 2 games out of 4 and got a certificate for sportsmanship! Rohini

Our table tennis tournament was super fun and I'm proud that my team came with me. Although we might not have won, we tried our hardest and didn't give up. We were kind to the teams we played and made new friends along the way, hopefully next year I'll play again! Alexia
