Spider's Web Climbing Frame

Brad Hill —

There has been great excitement with our super cool spider's web in front of the school auditorium.

It is a great apparatus to help our tamariki access and navigate risk. It is also a cool environment for them to simply ‘hang around’ and interact with other students from all year levels 1-8. To help develop this resource even further, we would like to add some rubber inlays between some of the rope shapes (mostly hexagons) to create ‘mini-environments’ up in the spider's web, such as a nest or cave. This will further encourage our students to interact and stretch their imagination.

The cost for these rubber inlays is quite expensive, approximately $9,000 and is an extra fundraising project that is sitting outside the Hobby's Whanau and Friends fundraising. If you know of any new avenues to help access funds, or would like to donate towards this project yourself, please contact brad.hill@hobsonville.school.nz
