On 29 July the Year 5 and 6 students participated in the Northwest Hockey tournament.

The students were eager and excited to see how they would go after weeks of learning about the game and a range of new skills. The day was spectacular, with the sun shining all day and scoring a few goals.

Zac S. and Jeshua C. scored well deserved goals against some very skilled teams, whilst the rest of the team played a strong defence and supportive midfielders. Olivia P. was a force to be reckoned with and was able to retrieve the ball from every opposing player she met with.

Overall the Year 5 and 6 team were exactly that, ‘a team’.  They communicated effectively and supported each other with enthusiasm throughout the day.
