This week we completed our learning about the eight main internal organs in the human body.

We had the opportunity to get up-close to some real (sheep) organs. It was fascinating to be able to see and feel them in real life. Thank you to Wilson Hellaby Butchers for their donation of hearts, kidneys, livers and even lungs. 

We made realistic representations of the organs. We practiced using play dough first and looked carefully at photographs to ensure they were accurate. Then we made models of the organs out of clay. 

We are completing information posters about the organs and look forward to sharing some of these with you in the next newsletter.
