Welcome to our New Staff Members
Three new teachers started at our school this term...
Piper Young: I have been lucky enough to work across Hobsonville School for the past two years! I am beyond excited to begin my first year of teaching with the Year 5/6 team, and have the privilege of co-teaching with Leta Fabricius in the Orange Room. This year I am delighted to be leading our Chinese Cultural Group! Establishing good relationships with my students and their whānau is a huge priority for me. I am also a lover of both the Arts and Maths! I love the diverse exploration of visual arts, dance and drama, as well as the curiosity driven nature of problem solving with maths! I can’t wait to get stuck into 2023!
Sharon Anderton: As a recently qualified teacher I have been learning up-to-date evidence based practice, and I am excited to be working at a school that supports this learning. I love working with our younger tamariki, as they are so enthusiastic and soak everything up. It is so rewarding to watch how quickly they progress. I am very much looking forward to the coming year.
Kelly Fraser: I am thrilled to be part of the Year 5/6 team at Hobsonville School for my first year of teaching, and I am really looking forward to getting to know all the students in the Blue Room with Ms Mohon! I am creative and highly passionate about literacy and the arts - my background is in Textile Design, and I am an avid reader. I wish to inspire curiosity and spark the joy of learning in all our wonderful students. This Year 5/6 group is incredible already, and I cannot wait to see how 2023 progresses for us all.
